 "Class, please jot down one of your fondest memories of Singapore in your lifetime on the piece of paper given to you."

I could only stare at the empty piece of blue, circular cut-out. Can a single piece of paper contain a million memories? Singapore is where I belong, Singapore is home... I used to think that I was only saying this because I SHOULD be doing so.

 In my life, I've encountered so many emotions. I've encountered friends who pretended to be there for me before leaving without a single word of goodbye. I've encountered days I thought that didn't deserve to end, with all that joy and laughter. I've encountered so many misadventures that made me rage about too. All of that, took place right here, in Singapore.

Home is so much more than just a place of my habitation. "Where is the place you met most of your true friends? Where's the place that shaped you into who you are today? Where is the place you overcame so many obstacles that crossed your path unexpectedly? Where is this place you call home? Not everyone who leaves you will be gone forever, not everything in life ends with a smile, but that does not give you a reason to stop hoping things will get better. Singapore is home because you LIVE here, and life is not just about breathing. Emotions exist for a reason."

The story of my life took place in the Little Red Dot, and this is why I call Singapore 'home'.
